A perfect blend of retro and modern. Works just as well in the city as on an outing. High-quality materials and stitching.

Fantastic!

This bag is as every bit as tough and great looking as it looks in the advert. Build quality is great, materials are top-notch, with plenty of pockets. I bought the Uppsala in black, and I'm seriously tempted to buy it in army green too. :)

A question about this piece? Ask us

Does this canvas hiking backpack fit a 15.6" laptop?

Yes. The Uppsala features a dedicated padded laptop sleeve designed to fit most laptops up to 15.6 inches. It keeps your computer securely separated from the rest of your gear, making this canvas hiking backpack suitable for commuting, university, or travel.

Is the backpack waterproof?

The material is water-resistant, not waterproof. It can withstand light rain and splashes, but avoid heavy or prolonged rain and immersion. Protect electronics separately, wipe off moisture and let the bag dry naturally away from direct heat.

Is this canvas hiking backpack comfortable for daily use?

Yes. The backpack is equipped with padded shoulder straps designed for everyday comfort. While it does not include a sternum strap or hip belt, it is comfortable for daily commuting, university, light hikes, and full days on the move.

What activities is this backpack best suited for?

This canvas hiking backpack is ideal for day hiking, daily commuting, university or college, and casual lifestyle use. Its 18 L capacity makes it versatile without feeling bulky, perfect for people who want one bag for both outdoor and everyday life.

Is the backpack suitable for women?

The Uppsala has a unisex design. It is mostly chosen by men, but many women also wear it comfortably — especially if they appreciate a slightly oversized, rugged look inspired by vintage hiking backpacks.

How secure is this backpack for everyday travel?

The backpack includes a hidden zippered pocket at the back, ideal for valuables such as your phone, wallet, or passport. Combined with the drawstring and flap closure, it offers a good level of security for public transport and urban environments.
